They say "you are what you eat." Well, you certainly feel what you eat—the things you put into your body have a big effect on your metabolism. If your cells are getting their fuel from the wrong sources, you can spend your days on the energy rollercoaster.

Most coffee servings are much larger than a single cup.

  • Mug 12 oz = 2 cups
  • Tall 12 oz = 2 cups
  • Grande 16oz = 3 cups
  • Venti 20 oz = 4 cups
  • Trenta 31 oz = 5 cups

Carbohydrates aren't only sugar and snacks. A slice of bread is one serving. A sandwich is two servings. A one-cup (8 oz) bowl of cereal or pasta is one serving.

Aerobic exercise like jogging, swimming, and vigorous dancing or cycling increases your breathing rate, ultimately raising heart and lung efficiency. Weekly, how often do you do aerobic exercise for at least 20 minutes?

If you’re pushing or pulling against weights or a machine during a workout, it’s called resistance exercise or strength training.
